The Cafe

The Cafe

I was sitting quietly

 In a small café

Nothing too fancy

Just out of the way

An older woman sat

Across all alone

Along came a man…

Give me all that you own

The woman was unshaken

And softly smiled

How are you child…

Sit down a while

This angered the stranger

He had a menacing frown

Give me your money

I don’t want to sit down

I will give you all I have

She went on to say

But it won’t change

What led you here today

I know your path has been troubled

You’ve come so far

But listen to my child…

Because I see who you are

I don’t see your money or home

Those things can vary

I see a life made from love

Even if you are wary

I see the little boy

Who still holds out hope

That the troubled man…

On the unsteady slope

Will become the angel

That he was meant to be

It wasn’t chance son…

That brought you to me

Your whole life was planned

To the very last letter

The message I have for you…

May make things better

For any other person

You may have selected

May have given up

Or worse than you expected

But I, dear child,

I see you deeply

One with a good heart…

Who loves uniquely

I see the child in your soul

Crying for relief

I see the beauty in your eyes…

So far from a thief

Sit down my son…

Let me buy you a meal

What I am giving…

You could never steal

I am giving you your freedom

I am handing you your soul

I am feeding a broken heart…

And a life yet untold

I watched his hardened face soften…

A tear I wiped away

When the woman at the table

Spared his soul that day

I watched intently,

As she touched his hand so smooth

And by the end of her meal …

I saw him too

I saw the life filled with obstacles

And tears by the mile

A loving face he had….

Hidden away for a while

But by the time they both left the place

One thing I can decree

IN him she saw GOD…

Just as she saw it in me

Bless the woman for this lesson…

May we all again learn

That from which we came…

We most certainly shall return

I am Waging War

I am waging war

I am putting down my mark

Against private wars against women

Which leave scars upon our hearts

A female journalist said

Don’t drink you won’t be raped

She even believing the lies

Leading to gender hate

A politician was quoted

Not saying it was her fault but…

Please Mister Government

That really is enough

We have allowed women

And their body parts to be used

As insults for our sons

Another form of abuse

You hit like a girl men yell

An insult for a boy

See we teach hate young

Leaving both sexes feeling a void

IF we teach our wonderful sons

That a female is a curse

Is it any wonder his opinion

Of women is the worst?

We are not only breeding hatred

Within our sons who are so young

But our daughters hate themselves

MY GOD…what have we done?

She feels she is unworthy

Maybe the assault was my fault

Please forgive us FATHER

This behavior has to stop

Remember the sluts that you talk of

Some ones daughter…someone’s mother

Of the sins we bathe in

When we fail to love one another

Please before it goes further

Weigh your words…they can be deadly

The time for forgiveness is now

Don’t you think the world is ready?

Ready to stand up for its sisters

Ready to speak out on her beauty

Yes…upward and onward

It’s our job…no OUR DUTY

Yes, I am waging war

I will no longer be idle

And you can call me one name

QUEEN is my title

So if you feel you have the urge

To spout negativity from afar

Go ahead I am ready…

I am waging war

Promises

Promises

In my silent time today

Where I talk with my Source

I asked are we all loved

The response was yes, of course

Then I pondered for a moment

If that is truly the case

When did we create the lie

When did we fall off base

When did we decide that we

Could treat another so bad

What gives us the authority

To make others feel so sad

Why must we tear apart

The hopes and dreams others create

That…I heard intently

Is a lifelong debate

Mankind did not seek permission

From any higher power when

He decided to enslave and maim

Starting way back then

No one sought enlightenment

When evil came to mind

For that wrong which was done

Does not begin from the divine

For to hold back or desecrate

A man or group of the like

Is similar to searching for sunrise

But only during the night

It’s as backwards as

Placing horse behind a cart

Like playing make believe

With a most fragile heart

The problem worsens said my Source

When we make no moves to the latter

When my children have forgotten

All that really does matter

Like a smile out of nowhere

Rain making plants grow

Loving our fellow man

Allowing that love to show

We can hardly see the light

When the homeless are blamed

For our inability to reach out

Like Creation’s going insane

But if we do not wake up soon

The world will continue to create

The problems it has bred

Just more evil choices we’ll make

Learn to love immediately

For the seed of God runs deep

And the cost of sin is higher

Than any grudge we keep

Reach out for one another

Remember it may be only one hand

But like the great earthly beaches

It all started with a grain of sand

Create a chain of understanding

A tie that binds from your core

Show the love of your ancestors

And that of theirs before

So in your moments of silence

When our Creator touches you deep

Remember it’s not what you say

But the promises you should keep

A Man With No Home

A Man With No Home

Man without a home

As people keep driving by

Some judging and pointing

Rarely asking how or why

He is delivering a message

And carrying a cardboard sign

The God sent angels message

No question…it was mine

The man he was humble

He had the bluest eyes

As tears came to mine

He whispered…please don’t cry

God loves you he said

My heart was filled with joy

For he spoke of a truth I could not avoid

For the malice of man

Was a creation of greed

We overlook our purpose

What we really need

The man had no home

But when I outstretched my hand

It warmed my very soul

My heart began to expand

For the messages we receive

Come in many different looks

Varied sizes and shapes

Not just those found in books

I thank God for my blessing

It was the most fruitful seed sown

God giving me His love

Through a man with no home

HOW

HOW

How can you feel so far

Yet be so close to me too

Millions of people around me

Yet all seem to be you

My tears find me suddenly

Unwarranted and yet still with a cause

Giving me a reason to take a breath

The whole world seems to pause

That contagious laughter

I swear I heard today on the street

That unmistakable smile

That made life seem more sweet

The way you saw life

So wise wrapped up in a life so tender

How can my heart feel empty…yet more full

Than an explanation can render

So today and everyday

Since your first breath of light

Even my pain comes with GREAT love

From a star shining so bright

May we never forget

How a life so brief

Could touch so many souls

Giving us a moment of relief

While we miss you daily

Especially on days like today

Oh…how we envy those angels

Who lifted you away

So when you are gazing down upon us

Send us healing and loving Grace

Reminding us of all we are supposed to be

In this temporary place

So when I fall off my path

Just nudge on my heart

Where you have always lived

From the very start

I loved you then

I love you forever

No matter how or when

Thanks for helping me remember

WE Hate THEM

WE Hate THEM

Not About sexual orientation

Not about race

Not about religion

Or other sacred place

Not about location

Not about country or land

Not about politics or other

Ignorance we don’t understand

NO matter what we disguise it as

No matter what name we shout

Let me tell you…about HATE

How it comes about

We separate ourselves from others

We shake our indifferent fist

Disregarding all but us

Hating that THEY…even exist

THEY aren’t like us after all

THEY don’t speak like WE do

THEY pray funny…hey

YOU would hate THEM too

THEIR skin is too light

Or sometimes it is too dark

THEY live where evil grows

The apartments by the park

THEY don’t make good decisions

THEY sell drugs…THEY must

THEY are what GOD HATES

THEY are NOTHING like US

THEY got what THEY deserved

THEY are less than WE

THEIR hair is ugly…accents show US

THEY are NOTHING like ME

These are the lies we teach

And often are told

But be aware now and always

This is how souls…they are sold

YOU are no better

In fact the judgment you render

Is all that GOD hates

Breaking hearts that are so tender

THEY my friend you see

Are all that YOU are

This is what GOD wanted?

You’ve veered away too far

Seek yourself in others

For the greatness which selected you

Chose the others you wage against

For THEY are greatness too

Instead of finding reasons

To point fingers and raise arms

Lift your hearts and souls

HATE always causes harm

Throw away your labels

Rid yourself of anger

It’s YOU not THEM

Whose salvation in in danger

Embrace one and all

No hate…make amends

For at a Creator’s Glance

WE…actually are THEM

Release

Release into the universe

Release out to the sea

Past relationship woes

Man-made negativities

Release what he or she did

Release the things they said

Don’t feed into the hate

When love needs to be fed

Release the pain and anguish

Release promises not kept

Focus on the journey

It isn’t over yet

Release the weight of your baggage

Set down your emotional sobs

Find the forgiveness you seek

From a most loving God

Release all that now binds you

Let go of feelings from your past

Inhale the light and love

For this will most certainly last

Yes…take this moment

Let go of destructive thoughts

Let me tell you about Forgiveness

And others attributes I’ve brought

Kindness is healing

It is the center of our core

It makes way for our blessings

And I tell you there is more

Empathy is involvement

It says I understand it too

It’s the flowing of love

Saying…this is for you

Joy is the nutrient

Which feeds the souls need

To release all that stunts our growth

In fact…helps us be free

Free of frustration and anger

Free of negative vibes

Freeing a heart broken

Letting the memory subside

The last thing that I brought you

Is love boundless and bright

To show your beauty untapped

When washed in the Light

Release all the dark days

Make room for delight

And see yourself as I do

Beautiful in my sight

**Don’t make the great people in your lives pay for the relationships that didn’t work…these relationships were created to help us grow…stop living there

The Search Is On

Why are we always in search of the man/woman that we think will complete us?  Are we not complete, as we are? Wouldn’t it be better if we looked, instead, for someone that complimented who we are now and encouraged us to grow?

When we are seeking something…man, woman or some object of material possession…to complete us; we are searching in vain. No one and nothing can fulfill that need. The most that we may ever be able to hope for is to find someone to walk with us in life; someone that we can grow with.

We shouldn’t place unrealistic expectations on ourselves or on others. Throw away the list of characteristics that you are looking for in a mate. I can only tell you, based on my experience; you may never really know what you need…until your Creator places it right in front of you. We may know what we WANT…but is it a necessity?

This may sound like I am suggesting that you lower your bar of expectation, but I am not. Instead, what I am encouraging you to do is to accept your higher self…and embrace that part of you. Acknowledge your path; the only person that can fulfill that journey…is you. Once you have completely recognized and accepted (who and what) you are; things will be laid in front of you. You won’t have to wonder if he/she is THE ONE; all the answers you seek will become crystal clear.

People place impossible deadlines upon themselves; thinking they must find their TRUE LOVE before a certain age. We must have 2.5 children before a certain age. We must own a home and make a certain amount of money. We even call this idea “success”.  And for some people that may be all they have success with; but I will tell you that I know people that are more successful, more content, and happier than most people that the world calls “successful”.

This happens because they know who they are; and are of the perception which dictates …they will always have exactly what they need, in life. Does this mean they are without struggle? No. But it does mean that the struggle is part of the path.

When we embrace all things…as one thing; the need for one thing over another…disappears. When we realize that our divine connection…is our foundation; we will finally KNOW who and what we are. And that knowledge takes away the need….to have another complete us. We cannot complete other people…we can only support, engage, uplift and grow with…them.

Release the expectations that we have allowed the world to place on us. If we adopt and accept the mindset that we are ONE…even the idea of mother/fatherhood takes on a different meaning. Do you remember, as a child, when your next door neighbor would watch out for you? They might even threaten to tell your mother or father if you misbehaved. These people were not thinking that you were not their biological children…yet the loved you.

When we accept the notion that we are all connected under one sun…by one Creator…regardless of how that Creator is referred; we have acknowledged and accepted our path. We have begun to grow…not only physically, and mentally, but spiritually. This growth will present more opportunities and the world will, literally, open up to us.

Looking For Love

Looking For Love

I have been pondering the idea lately; how people are looking for love. You can find this topic in books, music, movies and television shows. Everyone is seeking the love of their life.

But what if I told you the LOVE is their life? Think about that thought for a moment…love is your life. So in that respect, what are you really looking for? There is no hidden key to happiness; you have had the ability to be happy your entire life.

We make choices, and then we give those choices a life of their own. We are not victims of circumstance; we get to choose. The problem occurs when those choices turn out to be something we have a hard time living with.

We were born with everything that we needed to be happy. We, as infants in a womb, were not worried about what we would wear when we were born. We were not concerned with when we were going to be married; or if we had the perfect hair. When we were in the womb; we trusted in a source greater than any that we had ever known. Yet as adults, we are seeking love.

Love is everywhere. There is love in every sunrise and sunset. There is love in the sound of a baby laughing or crying. There is love in all animals and in all things. Have you ever heard the oceans tide breaking against a cliff? Have you stood so close to the ocean crashing around large rocks that you can feel the mist from within? All of this is love; we may not get to choose where the love comes from…but we receive it daily.

You may see a sidewalk with a large crack in it and see fault; but if you look at it with loving eyes…you may just see on opportunity for a flower to grow. You may not see the love in a thunderstorm…but I see the possibility of a rainbow. You may not see the love in a blizzard, but I see a Creator that is purifying the air.

Are you looking for love? I will tell you; you only get back from this world…what you put into it. We come from a Creator which is an endless supply of love. Yet we are so busy going to that Creator in prayer, with what we don’t have and how much more we need…instead of showing gratitude, that we have blocked our own blessings.

As long as we are stomping our feet, because a door was shut on us…we won’t even feel the draft from the open window. Love is eternal…boundless.

If we do not have the things in this life that we THINK we need…perhaps instead of pointing a finger…we should ask why.

Why didn’t I get that job, promotion or car that I wanted? Have you given love in every opportunity? Did you pass that man on the street, carrying that cardboard sign, and judge him…even if it was silent? Let me tell you my friends…our Creator knows NO silence. You thoughts are louder than your voice…your intentions are brighter than the stars. When we turn our back on love…we have begun the process of dislodging, disengaging and dismembering…our souls.

You are given a gift every day…the gift of life. How many people take that for granted? How many people will say they value and appreciate life, while criticizing the efforts of others? How many walk out of a religious service…filled with the message from our Creator…and mindlessly curse at their neighbors or children?

Are we getting the message? Are we awake? Love is around us, in us. In closing I have one final thought…what are you going to do with the love you have?

What Are You

What Are You

If all that you are

Is the THINGS you need

If you lost those things

What would happen to THEE

If all that you are

Is all that you do

If all that stopped

What would happen to you

If we place identity upon

Places and things

What happens to a soul

What does this mean

All that you are

Is an investment in Creation

Remember life isn’t a part of

Your personal recreation

Dig deep within yourself

Find the core of your being

Let go of what you think

Nonsense you are believing

You were created from love

And that is who you are

Your greatness is with THE ONE

Who lives amongst the stars

We are from one Source

It is all that we ever need

What you are is enough

This is my Humanity Creed

You need not try to become

What others may perceive

Trust in the one who guides

That’s TRUE love indeed

Break down barrier lines

Tear down walls of frustration

Give love…be love

It’s my Humanity declaration

For when we return indifference

With love as our sword

We have accomplished our task

What we are striving for

What are you now

Do you finally see the light

We are lambs of God

And beautiful in His sight

One final take before

I end my little rhyme

What are you to me

Perfect…Every time
