It Really Matters

It Really Matters

Love is never wrong

Love is seldom right

It just is…like the air we breathe. It exists… Love surrounds us, always. And like the air we breathe in and out; we will always breathe it in…we cannot live without it. Think about that for a minute.

If we were to decide we are never going to BREATHE again…like we often do with the concept of love…we would be rendered unconscious. Our body needs air…our soul needs love…and not just the romantic love…but all-ness. Loving all things…all of the time. Every single person, every blade of grass was created with this in mind. None matter more or less, to our Source. We, as humans, may have developed an “I” mind state. This is important to me…or that isn’t important. These judgments take us away from our core…or All-ness.

No measure of how much, or enough; no counting minutes and hours, as if there is a dead line. Notice how we never see an animal worried about time or space. We never experience nervous anxiety from animals, no staring at a clock…or even the sun….as it would be a natural keeper of time. Humans are the only beings in creation that creates its own stressors…making time or lost time a part of those stressors.

Love teaches us that memories, not moments are the true gems in life. We must set aside our pre-conceived notions about who and what love is. We rarely ponder what air REALLY is, except to think about keeping it clean, so that we can survive. Love is very similar. It does not require a lot of thought…for love simply is. Like air, however, we must keep it clean and pure. Again, we are talking about All-Ness…not simply intimate love or lust.

Love becomes so many things, the number is infinite. Love restores our soul, gives us back our esteem, teaches, preaches, accepts, and wraps itself up in all things…large and small.

It teaches us gratitude. Being gracious helps elevate us to our next destination, in life. Being thankful tells us that time has no use here. The minutes hours and days of space don’t matter as much as the inhaling and exhaling of our Creator’s love. The movement of the hands on a watch or the shade given from a sundial…is pale by comparison.

We must learn to be mindful in our speech and actions. Stay connected to your soul, by being aware of where your mind goes, when you are day dreaming. Stay awake, in this life. Do not allow tragedies and things that hurt our eyes and hearts; to keep us from reaching out to one another. When this cycle starts it is very difficult to stop it. When we turn off our inner light, because something was difficult to our senses…our soul starts dying…our light doused with water. It is, in fact, these difficult things that awaken us. These experiences allow our spirit to be re-kindled. These times are intended to splash cold water on our faces…take advantage of that opportunity.

Participate in your own life; and know that your life touches others, as well. You can be that torch that leads the way, or you can choose to go cold. Too many of us spend our days sleep walking and when we start waking up…it frightens us and we then desire sleep again. We must be mindful of ourselves and our minds. And when we feel our inner self traveling to the past…we must find a way to come back into what is now. The past should only be used as a learning tool. It’s okay to think about it…but remember that no matter how much thought you give it…it will never change.

Our souls mourn for the dead who still breathe; once love has been stricken from us…we die. We must participate in our own lives. We have a duty to uphold what our ancestors have created for us. We must respect and honor that rite of passage…and when that happens…real change will begin. Let us only hold onto the things that matter…here and now…air, love, life and a pure soul are all that really matter.

I Have Something To Say

I Have Something To Say

I was hurt yesterday by something that I saw. It broke my heart and ruined my entire day. Today, however, is a new day…and I have something to say.

Sitting quietly, cautiously, careful to not cause ripples in the water…does not contribute to peace. Still water grows stagnate; disease grows there. We must make waves. Waves washing against the rocks will smooth the rough edges. Waves wash away the old and bring in the new. The movement of water is a necessity of life. Our bodies and this world are comprised mostly of water. Water and the frequency it is motivated by; can tame the savage beast.

Gandhi, a man of peace, did not sit by and do nothing. He took a stand. Even in Gandhi’s way; he said NO MORE. Gandhi did not emulate still water, but the waters of change.

Peace is imperative, but it cannot be achieved by sitting quietly and screaming, in silence. If there are riots all around you and you sit quietly…what did you contribute to? Being idle…can be complacent. You may not be brandishing a firearm; but NOT TO CHOOSE…is to choose.

It is our responsibility to stand up and speak out. When we fail to do this, because we don’t want people to look at us harshly…we are thinking only with our ego. Our ego gives us a false sense of security. We are supposed to maintain this Creation. To sit by and say nothing when your heart screams to do something is similar to; being given a potted plant to take care of for a month. You have the plant and you can clearly see that it needs water, and everything inside you tells you to water it. However, you decide to just watch the plant, as it withers away. We are given the responsibility of maintaining this beautiful gift of Creation. We are supposed to love it, nurture it and treat it with gentle care.

My daughter cried when the hurricane destroyed trees in our neighborhood, a few years ago. She lost sleep. It literally broke her heart. What she found more disconcerting however was the fact that people made remarks similar to “it is just a tree; there are more trees that can take its place.” My daughter, my child understood this one truth …every man, woman, child, and blade of grass is accounted for. There is no one greater or of more value on this earth…than anyone else. One is not more important than the other and to think that is not true…is “The Greatness Fallacy”.

What causes the greatness fallacy? When we start believing the lies we have been telling others. When we start thinking that we are all that we need in this life. Sometimes we can be so busy patting ourselves on the back that we forget…we have been gifted this life…not GIVEN this life. What is the difference you may ask? A gift is unexpected and undeserved; you did nothing to receive the gift. You did not sparkle or shine any brighter than anyone else…but our Creator had confidence in your ability.

Let us not forget that we are only here for a short while and we must spend that time wisely. We must seek our purpose…or be patient while it seeks us. We have a responsibility to get our work done.

We must not get too comfortable here…this is not our resting place…it is not home. It is a place of embracing one another’s differences. For what happens all too often is that we will be so busy building walls; we are forgetting to mend bridges. We are not supposed to sit around and make lists of how we are different; and use that list as a means of isolation. For there will come a time when we will be called on and asked…how we contributed to this gift. We will stand all alone; and what good will that list of walls be then? I doubt our Creator will be concerned about the differences of the heart or mind…for our souls are divinely grounded.

Many have sought Gandhi’s peace; but TRUE peace is found within us all. We are often fooled by words that have been used erroneously. We seek inspiration. How many times must we hear someone say, they are looking to be inspired? The word itself tells you…inspiration is within us. We just need to find it and watch how our path illuminates.

I have great hopes for mankind. I, like you, have watched the atrocities that are going on. I have seen police officers beat men that appear to be doing little to nothing. I have watched veterans come home to a country that seems to have no problem leaving them homeless. I have seen stories where parents have abused and neglected their own children. I have seen us selling poison on the streets, for the hopes of a dollar. But I have seen the waters part and the hopes of a better day beginning. I know that it is always darkest before the dawn. I have no doubt that better days are ahead of us; but I must tell you…we must work for them.

We must stand up for those less fortunate. We must speak out on behalf of those who may be too afraid to speak. We must be the hero that we are always searching for. Don’t spend so much time adorning the man in the mirror that you forget that he has a purpose.

Be mindful in your speech, you use your delightful words. Being a beautiful person in speech and heart…takes nothing from you. Give to others…truly become your brother/sisters keeper. Support one another…and shine Our Creators light wherever you can.

Remember in a world that is caught on fire…you may be our only hope.

Promises

Promises

In my silent time today

Where I talk with my Source

I asked are we all loved

The response was yes, of course

Then I pondered for a moment

If that is truly the case

When did we create the lie

When did we fall off base

When did we decide that we

Could treat another so bad

What gives us the authority

To make others feel so sad

Why must we tear apart

The hopes and dreams others create

That…I heard intently

Is a lifelong debate

Mankind did not seek permission

From any higher power when

He decided to enslave and maim

Starting way back then

No one sought enlightenment

When evil came to mind

For that wrong which was done

Does not begin from the divine

For to hold back or desecrate

A man or group of the like

Is similar to searching for sunrise

But only during the night

It’s as backwards as

Placing horse behind a cart

Like playing make believe

With a most fragile heart

The problem worsens said my Source

When we make no moves to the latter

When my children have forgotten

All that really does matter

Like a smile out of nowhere

Rain making plants grow

Loving our fellow man

Allowing that love to show

We can hardly see the light

When the homeless are blamed

For our inability to reach out

Like Creation’s going insane

But if we do not wake up soon

The world will continue to create

The problems it has bred

Just more evil choices we’ll make

Learn to love immediately

For the seed of God runs deep

And the cost of sin is higher

Than any grudge we keep

Reach out for one another

Remember it may be only one hand

But like the great earthly beaches

It all started with a grain of sand

Create a chain of understanding

A tie that binds from your core

Show the love of your ancestors

And that of theirs before

So in your moments of silence

When our Creator touches you deep

Remember it’s not what you say

But the promises you should keep

Release

Release into the universe

Release out to the sea

Past relationship woes

Man-made negativities

Release what he or she did

Release the things they said

Don’t feed into the hate

When love needs to be fed

Release the pain and anguish

Release promises not kept

Focus on the journey

It isn’t over yet

Release the weight of your baggage

Set down your emotional sobs

Find the forgiveness you seek

From a most loving God

Release all that now binds you

Let go of feelings from your past

Inhale the light and love

For this will most certainly last

Yes…take this moment

Let go of destructive thoughts

Let me tell you about Forgiveness

And others attributes I’ve brought

Kindness is healing

It is the center of our core

It makes way for our blessings

And I tell you there is more

Empathy is involvement

It says I understand it too

It’s the flowing of love

Saying…this is for you

Joy is the nutrient

Which feeds the souls need

To release all that stunts our growth

In fact…helps us be free

Free of frustration and anger

Free of negative vibes

Freeing a heart broken

Letting the memory subside

The last thing that I brought you

Is love boundless and bright

To show your beauty untapped

When washed in the Light

Release all the dark days

Make room for delight

And see yourself as I do

Beautiful in my sight

**Don’t make the great people in your lives pay for the relationships that didn’t work…these relationships were created to help us grow…stop living there

The Bright Side

The Bright Side

Life can sometimes spiral out of control. We can feel as if we are lost or even as if we may not want to be found. We may feel alone or isolated…wondering who would even notice if we just dropped off the face of the earth. These sentiments are what make this topic pertinent. We are all important, our lives are essential in some plan that God has for us. Just like when we speak of the importance of animals and the chain or circle of life…we, too, are critical parts; in the grander scheme of things. Something as minor as a smile to a stranger…may change the course or energy of a day. A kind word or gesture could turn war time into a moment of peace.

What is the bright side of a life which appears to have no particular meaning? Well, we woke up today. We lifted our heads…and because we were willed to do so…the work God has lain out for us has begun. The bright side is the fact that today…unlike some…you received the gift of another moment…another opportunity to do the work of our Creator. Today we can hold our heads up and move forward. We get to choose whether we live or simply exist; while keeping in mind that we are the example that others are turning to. People don’t want us to tell them what to do…but they are open to observing those thoughts in action. We are responsible for all of our deeds…large and small…good and bad. We can impress or depress people…we have the luxury of choosing the path we walk.

Look on the bright side…today is a new day…and the way we view it may help or hinder someone else. Things happen in life, some of these things may seem like they have broken us…left us in pieces. I think we have all felt this way…one time or another. But the actual truth is…we were not broken, shattered, crushed, or defeated. We were simply temporarily impaired…stunned…surprised…startled and dismayed. And here we are…not only present and accounted for but looking on the bright side of life. We have simply evolved into another part of who we were intended to be. We may feel sad at times due to a change or loss in our lives; and while I am not trying to take away from that very real feeling…I am going to tell you that hope always exists.

You get to decide the energy that you will emit on others…just as I do. And yes, we will sometimes falter. It is okay to stumble on the building blocks of life…as long as we understand that they are just blocks…and not giant walls with no means of escape. You have to remember to pick yourself up and press on…eyes are watching you. If you have hope…someone else will be able to feed off of it…and they will be able to give hope to others, as well. Use the foundation that we were created with…love…peace….understanding and kindness; these are the elements of success and hope.

Life is a gift. It regenerates, rejuvenates and revitalizes our souls. It is okay to have rough days…but understand that…better days will follow. No one expects perfection, but we do expect, desire, and need your word that you will constantly strive for more.

Our lives contribute to the ever populating circle of love…and the bright side of that concept is that love always comes back ten fold. Love is more like the boomerang of God…no matter where you toss it…God will make sure it finds you again. Contribute to the lives of others…remember they too are looking for a bright side…be that for them. Other people have the same insecurities, anxieties, and hesitations that you may have…lend them your shoulder and in doing so…open your heart.

The possibilities of life are endless…unless we stop trying. Do not be your own road block…expect the impossible…because with the divine love of our Creator…all things are attainable. There is no goal or idea which is too much for our Creator…we simply need to ask and be prepared to receive it. Look at the bright side…no matter how dire a situation seems…this too shall pass…and the lesson in the struggle may feed the hopes and aspirations of others.

Blessings

Blessings

At times it can be trying

This life we created

People can be so cruel

Leaving our hearts devastated

Am I too much or little of this

Is my skin too dark or light

Is my optimism offensive

Is my smile a little too bright

Is my outlook for humanity

Too hopeful…sadly… for some

Are you so stuck on negativity

You can’t see how far you’ve come

Pave your path with memories

Release the negative thoughts

It’s what you give to others

Not what you have got

A sprinkle of sunshine

Through a smile along the way

Can change perspective of a moment

Brighten a cloudy day

We get what we give…remember

Be your own target…a goal

Your life tells a story

Make it the best ever told

Don’t allow darkness in others

To overcast your light

For God planted beauty in all

We are beautiful in His sight

Look not toward another

For acknowledgement of self

Love does not fit in an ego

Love is not about wealth

Shine on my light seekers

Don’t destroy…reflect

Be ready for the blessings

They’re bigger than you’d expect

Protected By Love

I was once given direction

Informing me without token

No matter what life tosses your way

You are bent but not broken

Your path cannot be altered

Stay true to your creed

For in the Light of Our Creator

Your pains will be freed

All you experience in life

Every wonder beneath the sun

Is just further proof that we

Have more work to be done

We have building to do

We have bridges to mend

We are backed with a Love

That will not break…only bend

For our will is not our own

We are touched by Great

So bend me all you want to

But you can never ever break

For I am protected by

An awesome force unrequited

Nothing you send my way

Will come in uninvited

For my Father who is in Heaven

Walks with me every day

Saying don’t worry about that mountain

It will move out of your way

Bend me…twist me

Give it your best shot

But I am guided by a love

Which says…FEAR NOT

So fear I will never

I will soak up love light

Knowing I am always beautiful

In My Fathers Sight

The best thing I want to tell you

NO matter what you may do

The Father above told me this

You will not be broken too

So today I send you some sunshine

Light from a gracious Creator

Shining bright brilliant love

From a source which is greater

Once we stop trying to destroy

That which we did not create

We will prosper and be loved

By a Source most great

I leave you my beginning lesson

So you don’t have to wait

Let man try what he will

For you will bend…but never break

I send you love and joy

With kindness and grace

Until I meet you here after

In Heaven face to face

So my fellow angel heart

No matter what the darkness does

You can be bent but not broken

For you are protected by love

Let Not The Children Suffer

Let not the children suffer

They are innocent from hate

They didn’t ask for indifference

Or the lies that we create

Let them not know sorrow

Or agonizing pain

Allow their hearts to encourage

Others to love again

Let not a child’s cries

At night go unheard

Listen to their spirit

Every single word

For when we turn a deaf ear

When our eyes are now blind

Our children pay the price

Of evil that we find

If we fail to make a stand

For fear of standing out

We are accomplices in sin

Of that there is no doubt

Our children are paying

A price which is not theirs

While we are here talking

About unwanted stares

Let the children not suffer

Let us all own what is ours

Leave the children to their laughter

Running through spring showers

When we pour water on the fire

A child carries in their dreams

We become the culprit

And the evil it does bring

Let not them know suffering

It’s the only way to go home

By carefully holding their hearts

Saying…you are not alone

Choose

Choose

What to wear today

So many things to choose

But if you were homeless

What would you do?

Sick of people and their noise

Don’t want to hear their mess

But if you were deaf…

Would it bother you less?

Children’s endless banter

Shut up or go to your room

Would you choose that thought

If they would be gone too soon

I’m too tired to walk

Can barely take another step

But if your legs were gone

You’d feel different I bet

We are surrounded by blessings

The air we inhale and breathe

The flowers we rush past

The birds in the trees

Children crying in rhythm

A song in the air

Life just gets lighter

When you choose to care

It is a choice remember

We get to make it real

Make your moments last

There’s more I must reveal

Hope and dreams endless

We choose how we will live

It isn’t about receiving

What do we choose to give

Will you give someone your time

Will you hand out a free smile

Will you offer a kind word

Although you’ve heard none in a while

Will you look past you

Will you see all else

Will you give out love

And stop choosing self

Will you uplift others

Even when you are blue

Will you be a better person

What will you choose

Enough

Enough

Today I want to tell you

Simply avert your attention

To something women go through

Almost too horrible to mention

But it happens more often than

Is spoken above her silence

It’s a terminal illness

It’s called domestic violence

That’s a basic term though

Doesn’t make it too clear

It’s about the physical and emotional

It’s about living in constant fear

Fear for yourself and your kids

For people you love no doubt

He will kill them all and

It’s that fear we are talking about

Fear to look up and

Fear to say a word

Fear to tell anyone

The things that you heard

Fear has its own life span

It can live longer than we

I know because one time

The fear almost killed me

Domestic Violence is a crime

Someone is stealing a dream

He is beating her pride

Molesting her self esteem

He is bruising her face

Breaking her fragile bones

Destroying all she ever had

For her…he thinks he owns

But ownership is not his

In fact this slavery can thrive

When we would rather find death

Than to suffer more alive

Do you know who she is

At least someone you suspect

You kind of sort of know

Just don’t want to say so yet

I’m here to tell you now

Later might be too vast

Her sand is draining out

Of life’s hour glass

Speak up she needs your help

For even if you love him

They both need to get help

To stop the rage within

We all want to claim ignorance

When the outcome of death arrives

But we failed to step up when

Both parties were still alive

Whether you love him or her

Or are just doing what is needed

Here is my sage advice

I hope you carefully heed it

He is killing her no question

The children are watching too

Someone needs to step up

Today that someone is you

Rise up to the challenge

Be the saver of this story

It’s about saving humanity

Not self-proclaimed glory

This is my Domestic Violence lesson

Sometimes we just need to be aware

That our women and children are dying

I’m asking that you be there

It’s not about butting in

It’s not about prying

It’s about humanity

Please stop it from dying

So make that call now

Before she withers away

Give her hope of a future

Tell her it starts today

Spread humanity I beg you

Reach out by reaching up

Give her strength to scream

Today I have had enough

October is Domestic Violence Awareness month…it exists…too many women are painfully AWARE…please help
